This is a 12 mile paddle through one of the most scenic sections of the Connecticut River. We will put in at the Northfield Boat Ramp and paddle downstream to Barton Cove. We will stop at Cabot Camp at the confluence of the Millers River for lunch.
The paddling is smooth and can be somewhat swift, depending upon outflows from the Vernon Dam, the main hydro-electric facility upstream.
