What does a Baltimore Checkerspot, an Eastern Tailed-blue, and an American Copper have in common?  Well, they are all incredible butterflies that can be seen at the Trustees’ Bullitt Reservation in July! The Baltimore Checkerspot is a rare species that can only be found in a limited number of fields in Massachusetts, and the Bullitt is one of them!

 

Join local naturalist and butterfly enthusiast John Body on July 23rd at 11:00 at the Bullitt Reservation. There are four fields to wander through in search of the elusive butterflies. Don't forget to bring your binoculars and cameras!

What’s included:

  • Two hour guided adventure with naturalist

  • Comfortable hiking shoes with good ankle support
  • Preferably long pants to protect from ticks, prickers and sunburn
  • Day pack with sunscreen, bug spray and extra layer
  • Sun hat
  • Plenty of drinking water
