Skill Level: All
Join us for an exciting evening under the stars as we celebrate the Winter Solstice.
We'll start our hike at the new Kestrel Land Trust headquarters located at the foot of the beautiful Mount Holyoke Range where - depending on conditions - we will hike up Norwottuck or Rattlesnake Knob. Once there, we will stop to take in the iconic views and watch the moon rise over the Pelham Hills. Returning to the trailhead, we will have the unique opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of the forest at night, guided by the light of the moon. Snowshoes are included, if necessary.
Following our hike we will usher in the season together with Kestrel’s team at their headquarters with a bonfire, hot chocolate, and yummy holiday snacks.
Joining us for our signature Full Moon Hike is both fun for you and valuable to our community; your participation in this adventure directly supports the Kestrel Land Trust and their mission to preserve open space and provide access to outdoor recreation making it possible for us to continue to enjoy nights like this.
