Mass Audubon High Ledges Sanctuary

Age Level: 12 and up

Fitness Level: Fit - you are comfortable spending multiple hours on trails and have experience on winter hikes

Skill Level:  Moderate - you have experience hiking in snowshoes or micro spikes on slippery or uneven surfaces

This is an intermediate hike for those with some experience with snowshoes and micro spikes. If you're a beginner hiker, we recommend starting with one of our mindful winter walks to gain some experience first.

Starting at the Sanctuary entrance we will hike out to High Ledges and enjoy the spectacular views of the Deerfield River Valley and Mount Greylock. We will continue our hike out to Wolf Den and return through Orchid Swamp. The hike is approximately 3.5 miles over varied terrain.

Your participation in this adventure directly supports the Mass Audubon and their mission to protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and for wildlife.
