As you paddle around one of the state's oldest and most picturesque mill ponds, you'll have the chance to observe an array of birdlife up close.
Over 12 species of fish and a prolific insect hatch fuels an active and diverse ecosystem with over 170 species of birds on record. The watershed is a state protected wildlife management area which provides up-close observations of wetland dependent birds including the majestic great blue heron, the agile spotted sandpiper, and a diverse assortment of ducks, flycatchers, and vibrant warblers.
This gentle journey requires no prior experience, making it perfect for both seasoned bird enthusiasts and curious beginners alike. Everyone is welcome to join this peaceful exploration of nature.
