What to Expect

This guided 3.5-mile hike links two stunning conservation properties: Bullitt Reservation and Chapel Brook. Starting in open fields and mixed woodlands, we follow well-maintained forest paths, cross gentle stream corridors, and make our way toward the Chapel Brook gorge. The route features rolling terrain, shaded trail sections, and a final approach to the cascading three-tiered Chapel Falls. Your guide shares natural history, property background, and ecological insights throughout the walk.

Location & Route

Where: Bullitt Reservation to Chapel Brook, Western Massachusetts.
Route: A point-to-point forest and field hike linking two Trustees properties and culminating at the scenic Chapel Falls area.
Pace & Timing: Approximately 3.5 miles over a half-day outing, with stops for interpretation, photos, and time spent exploring the waterfall.
