Forest Bathing

Unplug for a few hours and take a rejuvenating stroll through the forest with us. This is a gentle and mindful outdoor experience that will allow you to connect deeply to the healing powers of nature. You will saunter along woodland trails, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds all around you, allowing you to become acquainted with life in the forest. Through bird and tree identification as well as wildlife tracking, you can begin to know our natural world more intimately. Improve your wellbeing with guided meditation, gentle movements and breathing exercises. This practice has been proven to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system and help restore a sense of balance.

Located in Ashfield and Conway, this historic, 262-acre property features a blend of forests, open fields, and wetlands and links conservation lands totaling roughly 3,000 acres.

The Conwell Property is made up of about 70 acres of forestland and includes a small pond and Eagle Nest Ridge. The property offers 3 miles of trails, perfect for hiking, and varying landscapes along the way.

Kestrel: Greenberg Forest

Located in Westhampton, this lush Kestrel Land Trust protected forest is home to an idyllic brook and an array of vibrant wildlife. With trails that take you along Sodom Brook and past tulip trees to a centrally located clearing, this is the perfect setting for a morning of forest bathing.

Trustees: William Cullen Bryant Homestead

Former childhood home to the illustrious 19th century poet, William Cullen Bryant, the homestead is now home to nearly 200-acres of preserved property. Trails running through the property feature old-growth forests, meadows, and remnants of a lovely, old orchard.

Nestled among the Mill River, the North Hadley Pond, and Lake Warner, this 156-acre property is comprised of a mix of forest types and wetlands and provides homes to an array of wildlife such as beavers, wood frogs, deer, and common New England forest critters.
