What to Expect

This two-day, 16-hour training introduces the essential skills needed to recognize, assess, and respond to medical situations in the backcountry. Through a combination of instruction, hands-on practice, and realistic scenarios, you'll learn how to manage common outdoor emergencies, make informed decisions with limited resources, and provide care until help arrives. Portions of the course take place outdoors, adding authenticity and practical context to the skills you develop.

We will also be offering a 2-hour CPR course on the first day of the course from 5 - 7 pm. Add the CPR option at the time of registration.
